How to
Claim Your Territory
When you
subscribe to
GOT ZIP™ you are asked to select a Username.
In most programs you can enter whatever
username you wish, but our setup is quite a bit different...
Your Username is the Territory you are Registering.
If you're Territory is
Available Above... that Name is your Username..
If you Sponsor your own Territory you become a "Resident"
If you Sponsor a Territory you don't live in, you're a "Prospector"
You Can Not Prospect a Territory already
claimed by a Resident.. Or listed as NA.
Why do we have Two Types of Subscriptions?
Well, we obviously want Residents to promote offline in their
Territories, but not only do Prospectors add to our subscription
revenue which helps build Got-Zip, but they can promote offline and
add to the Viral Growth of Got-Zip too. And..
since Prospectors are only going to go after the high population
Territories, it helps even out the commission discrepancies between
large pops and small pops. So it keeps Got-Zip fair for
everyone. REMEMBER
if you are a Prospector, you will most likely be sharing all that
Territories' Commissions with a Resident at some point.
And REMEMBER if you are a Resident and
your Territory hasn't been prospected yet, once you claim it you'll
never have to split commissions.
Once You Claim Your Zip-Code You're DONE!!
There is nothing more you ever have to do except remain a
Subscriber.
If you Cancel Your Subscription you LOSE YOUR CLAIM!
But will still go into the Auction and Refund queue, you have until the end of
the Auction to claim it back.
If a
problem/conflict arises with a Territory we will do our best to correct it as quickly as
Possible. This is our intermediary system, eventually we'll have a much
more efficient system of registering Territories.
There can be no more than 2 Subscribers to any Territory!

If your home Territory was not available you can
Prospect any Territory not yet claimed by a Resident.
Click the Change Zip-Code link in the Zip
Status window above to search for available Zips.
